In addition to treating mental health concerns, we have therapists who specialize in treating early childhood mental health, relationships, trauma, working with individuals with an addiction history, and more. Cheryl Bissonette, MA, LMFT

  • Cheryl Bissonette is a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist with a holistic approach (mind-body-spirit) that prioritizes the well-being of individuals and their families. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    Cheryl specializes in working with individual adults and couples, creating a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental atmosphere for her clients. She is certified in Prepare-Enrich for pre-marriage and relational counseling, and as a Circle of Security facilitator, offering valuable guidance for parents and caregivers. Additionally, she is trained in Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which enables her to address a wide array of relationship issues within the context of one's internal system and the family system.

    With extensive experience in handling various challenges—ranging from trauma and depression to relationship conflicts and self-discovery—Cheryl helps her clients explore how their relationships shape their sense of self. Her integrative approach emphasizes the long-term health of individuals and families, ensuring that therapy is not just about resolving issues but fostering personal growth.

    Cheryl is also committed to ongoing personal work in dismantling biases related to race, body image, sex, gender, and spirituality. She strives to be an ally for the BIPoC and LGBTQIA+ communities, ensuring that all individuals feel valued and supported in her care.

    In her practice, Cheryl combines her academic knowledge and compassionate style to help clients navigate life’s complexities, making a profound impact on their lives and relationships.

 

Nicole Cockram, MSW, LICSW

    You were created to thrive and live an abundant life. I am here to help you find your way, to explore and achieve your life goals in a way you can feel proud.

    My style is compassionate, intuitive, and direct. I value humor and the gift it brings to therapy. Laughter is sometimes the best medicine. If you need, or like, a direct and straightforward approach, come see me. I want you to feel better as quickly as possible and believe self-reflection, blended with cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy and relational therapy offer the best success. You are your best author.

    I have a Master’s Degree of Social Work from Mankato State University. I am a licensed clinical social worker. My practice includes depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life adjustments and behavioral, emotional and/or communication difficulties. I work with individuals, couples and families. I also provide neurofeedback therapy. I find it easy to relate to the difficulties high school students face, and work with many adolescents and children.

 

Richard Brooks, MSW, LICSW

  • As a therapist my approach to practice is client-centered, focusing on empowering others to make positive changes in their lives. I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, warm acceptance, and active listening. I treat individual adults and children with a variety of mental health needs including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, adjustments, stress, and social/communication struggles.

    My experience in mental health includes providing individual and group psychotherapy, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports, and volunteering/interning with substance abuse and mental health treatment courts. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a double major in sociology and criminology along with a minor in psychology. I hold a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

 

Emma Massman, MSW, LICSW

  • As a therapist, I am here to walk with you as you work towards achieving your goals and living your best life. I utilize a humanistic/client centered and empowerment approach in my practice. I value the therapeutic relationship; trust and comfort are very important for that, which is why my style involves being authentic, genuine, accepting, utilizing humor, and being non-judgmental towards you and/or your family. I feel these all can assist in connection, trust, and the overall healing and change process. I believe that you know yourself best and you also have the strengths inside to get towards your goals; I want to join with you and assist with bringing those out and making them stronger.

    I use a trauma informed and domestic violence informed lens in my practice. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Winona State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Behavioral Tech, a Linehan Institute Training Company. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Interpersonal Violence from the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute. My experience involves working with ages 6 years old - older adults, providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS). I use a wide variety of interventions throughout services in order to distinguish what will fit your needs best. I am passionate about working with all ages (6 years old - older adults), individuals and families, survivors of domestic or interpersonal violence, and those experiencing anxiety, depression, or adjustment to changes in life.

 

Dana Miller, MSW, LICSW, EMDR Certified

  • As a therapist, my goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with children and their families in order to be able to work together to create change, acquire stabilization, and gain new coping skills. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach and diverse lens when treating and evaluating individuals and their family systems. My training and skill set draws from psycho-dynamic theory, attachment-based work, relationship-based approaches, play therapy techniques, developmental perspective, and trauma informed. I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) which is a specialized trauma focused therapeutic approach for helping young children ages 0 through 6 years old process traumatic experiences. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a treatment to help individuals process distressing memories and emotions using bilateral stimulation. EMDR is a treatment that can be used with children, adolescents, and adults.

    I have a bachelor’s degree in Family Life Child Development and a master’s degree in Social Work both obtained from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). I have worked in the mental health field since 2010. My mental health experiences vary between developing an early childhood day treatment program, providing individual and family therapy, working with foster care providers, and supervising clinical staff. I have worked with individuals who have experienced symptoms of anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism, and depression. I specialize in working with the early childhood population (birth through the age of 6 years old) and their caregivers.

 

Kate Mouw, MSW, LICSW, LADC

  • Seeking therapy can be an overwhelming and daunting experience. I am here to provide a safe place for you to feel comfortable when working through life’s struggles without feeling judged. I can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself by increasing awareness of your emotions and thoughts, patterns of behavior, and discover useful ways to cope with difficult and painful emotions.
    As a therapist, my approach is strengths based, client centered, and trauma focused. My therapeutic approach is diverse, utilizing multiple types of therapies such as Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), attachment-based work and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
    I have a bachelor’s degree in social work from Bemidji State University, and a master’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), spending much of my career working with those struggling with addition. I have experience working with individuals, families and couples, though mainly focusing on adolescents and adults.

 

Stacey Boysen, MSW, LICSW

With specialized training in working with young children (birth to age 6) and their caregivers, I address the unique challenges that arise during these formative years. My experience includes collaborating with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and significant life changes. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths and achieve your personal objectives.

    I hold a master's degree in social work from Winona State University and am a licensed clinical social worker. Utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic interventions, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs.  My training and skill set draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, evidence-based approach, attachment-based work, play therapy techniques, and trauma-informed care.   I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you in your journey.

 

Jill Malepsy Brooks, MSW, LICSW

  • As a dedicated clinical social worker, I have had the privilege of working at the intersection of compassion and expertise in the field of mental health and social well-being. With 5+ years of experience in the mental health field, my journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges, find resilience in adversity, and embark on a path towards healing and personal growth.

    Throughout my career, I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy and support for children, adults, students, and families, through several positions. These positions included being a Mental Health Practitioner, a School-Linked Mental Health Therapist, and also being a Clinical Director for a community-based mental health organization. I am excited to share my experiences and insights and to serve the community in this role as a therapist at Full Circle Counseling and Wellness.

 

Cassidy Kavitz, Clinical Trainee

  • Cassidy is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Winona State University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2025. She is a dedicated professional with experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental health concerns, and neurodiverse conditions. Over the course of her career, Cassidy has worked across a variety of settings, including community-based programs, residential homes, and outpatient mental health services. She has provided compassionate, client-centered care to a diverse range of individuals, including low-income and homeless populations and their families, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each person.

    Cassidy has supported clients in navigating a variety of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on fostering resilience, promoting personal growth, and empowering clients to make lasting, meaningful change in their lives.

    Looking toward the future, Cassidy is expanding her expertise in the areas of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. She is particularly interested in the integration of mind and body in the healing process and is exploring how these innovative modalities can enhance therapeutic outcomes, especially for individuals with complex trauma and dissociation. This interest aligns with her belief in the importance of addressing both mental and physical aspects of well-being, promoting healing from a comprehensive, multi-dimensional perspective.

    Cassidy continues to refine her skills and deepen her knowledge, always striving to provide empathetic, evidence-based care that supports personal growth, self-empowerment, and holistic healing.
